Overview

This page defines healthcare inequality and explains the main social, economic, and systemic factors that contribute to unequal access to medical services.

The healthcare system in the Philippines faces growing challenges, from underfunded facilities to unequal access for millions of citizens. Rural communities often lack basic medical services, while urban hospitals struggle with overcrowding and limited resources. This decline affects not only the health of individuals but the well-being of the nation as a whole.

The EquiLit Care Project aims to address these gaps by promoting equitable access to healthcare, supporting local health initiatives, and raising awareness about the urgent need for reform. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to create a healthcare system where quality care is not a privilege, but a right for every Filipino.

Aspirations and Goals

Vision

We imagine communities where knowledge, awareness, and resources are shared freely, and where inequalities that have long kept vulnerable populations from receiving proper medical attention are eliminated. Through the use of technology, education, and advocacy, we strive for a society in which no one is overlooked, ignored, or left behind.

Mission

By empowering communities to participate actively in health advocacy and decision-making, we strive to transform awareness into action and inspire meaningful change. This means giving individuals the knowledge, tools, and confidence to speak up about their healthcare needs, to question unfair systems, and to demand equitable access to medical services.
